  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP 

    Go To Next step.

  2. CUSTOMER PROBLEM ANALYSIS (See  CUSTOMER PROBLEM ANALYSIS CHECK   )

  3. CONNECT HAND-HELD TESTER OR OBD II SCAN TOOL TO DLC3 

    HINT:

    If the display indicates a communication fault in the tester, inspect the DLC3.

    Go To Next step.

  4. CHECK AND RECORD DTC AND FREEZE FRAME DATA (See  DTC CHECK CLEAR   ) 

    HINT:

    If a DTC related to the CAN communication system malfunction is output, first troubleshoot and repair the CAN communication (see CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM - DIAGNOSIS ).

  5. CLEAR DTC (See  DTC CHECK CLEAR   ) 

    Go To Next step.

  6. PROBLEM SYMPTOM CONFIRMATION 
    1. When the malfunction does not occur, go to A.
    2. When the malfunction occurs, go to B.
