Diagnostic Trouble Code Chart
HINT:
If a malfunction code is displayed during the DTC check, check the circuit indicated by the DTC. For details of each code, turn to the page for the respective "DTC No." in the DTC chart. DTC chart of ABS:
- Drive the vehicle at the vehicle speed of 31 mph (50 km h) and keep depressing the brake pedal strongly for approximately 3 seconds.
- Repeat the above operation 3 times or more and check that the ABS warning light goes off.
- Clear the DTC (see DTC CHECK CLEAR ).
HINT:
In some cases, the hand-held tester cannot be used when ABS warning light remains on.

When to See a Mechanic
Stop DIY work and contact a certified mechanic immediately if any of the following apply:

- • Brakes feel soft, pull hard to one side, or make grinding noises.
- • The engine overheats, stalls repeatedly, or misfires under load.
- • You are missing required tools, torque specs, or safe lifting equipment.
- • You are not confident in the next step or safety outcome.
