- Remove front brake disc brake caliper. See FRONT BRAKE CALIPERΒ under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
- Remove front brake disc pad. See FRONT BRAKE PADSΒ under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
- Remove upper and lower disc pad support plates.
- Remove caliper slide pins from disc brake caliper mounting.
- Using a screwdriver and hammer, tap out dust boots.
- Remove bolts and remove front disc brake cylinder mounting.
- Using a screwdriver, remove set rings and cylinder boots.WARNING: Do not place your fingers in front of the piston when using compressed air.
- Place a piece of cloth between piston and disc brake caliper. Use compressed air to remove pistons from disc brake caliper.
- Using a screwdriver, remove piston seals from disc brake caliper.
- Remove front disc brake bleeder screw.
- Check caliper bore and piston for rust or scoring.
