Oil Pump: Disassembly

2004 Toyota Matrix XR, FWD, StandardSECTION Disassembly

  1. REMOVE OIL PUMP STRAINER SET 

    Remove the 2 nuts and oil pump strainer.

  2. REMOVE RELIEF VALVE 
    1. Using a socket wrench (27 mm), remove the plug.
    2. Remove the valve spring and relief valve.

  3. REMOVE OIL PUMP BODY COVER 

    Remove the 5 bolts and oil pump body cover.
