Inspection Procedure

2004 Toyota Matrix XR, FWD, StandardSECTION Inspection Procedure

  1. Check horn. 

    PREPARATION: 

    Connect the battery's positive (+) lead to terminal 1 and negative (-) lead to terminal 2 of the horn connector.

    OK: 

    Horn blows. 

    1. NG : Replace horn. 
    2. OK : Go to next step. 
  2. Check for harness and connector between horn relay and passenger side J/B ECU, and battery and horn relay (See  HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE  ). 
    1. NG : Repair or replace harness and connector. 
    2. OK : Proceed to next circuit inspection shown in problem symptoms table (See  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE   ).
