- Remove rear seat cushion and back. Remove floor carpet. Remove floor service hole cover. Release fuel pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE . Disconnect negative battery cable. Disconnect fuel pump tube sub-assembly. Remove 8 bolts and fuel tank vent tube set plate. Remove fuel suction tube assembly with pump and gauge. Remove fuel suction tube gasket. Using screwdriver, disconnect snap claws from claw holes and remove fuel suction support No. 2. Remove fuel pump cushion rubber. Remove fuel pressure regulator assembly. Remove fuel pump assembly with filter. Remove fuel pump filter. See Figure.
- Using screwdriver, remove fuel pump filter clip and fuel pump filter. Using screwdriver, disconnect snap claws from claw holes and remove fuel suction plate. Remove fuel sender gauge assembly. Remove fuel pump harness.
