2004 Toyota Matrix XR, FWD, StandardSECTION Inspection Procedure

  1. Check the door key lock and unlock switch using DTC check  . See DOOR, DTC B1222/22: DOOR LOCK SWITCH CIRCUIT ON DRIVER DOOR .
    1. OK:  Proceed to next circuit inspection shown on problem symptoms table. See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE .
    2. NG:  Go to  2.
  2. Check the door key lock and unlock switch  . See STEP 3 - INSPECT PASSENGER'S DOOR KEY LOCK AND UNLOCK SWITCH CONTINUITY  under INSPECTION .
    1. NG:  Replace the door key lock and unlock switch.
    2. OK:  Go to  3.
  3. Check wire harness and connector between door key lock and unlock switch and driver door ECU. 
    1. NG:  Repair or replace wire harness or connector.
    2. OK  : Proceed to next circuit inspection shown on problem symptoms table. See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLES .
