Blower Motor: Inspection

2004 Toyota Matrix XR, FWD, StandardSECTION Inspection

  1. Remove blower motor  :
    1. Disconnect the connector.
    2. Remove the 3 screws and motor. See Fig 1.

  2. Inspect blower motor operation  .

    Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 1 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 2, then check that the motor operations smoothly. See Fig 2.

    If operation is not as specified, replace the blower motor.

  3. Install blower motor  :
    1. Install the motor with the 3 screws.
    2. Connect the connector.
