Check transmission fluid level each month. Under normal service conditions, transmission fluid change is not necessary. Under severe service conditions, change transmission fluid and filter at 60,000-mile intervals. Severe service conditions are conditions such as continuous operation during extreme temperatures, continuous operation in stop and go traffic, long periods of engine idling, trailer towing, police, taxi, local delivery service or operating in dusty conditions.
