Cruise Control Failure Warning

NOTE: A blinking indicator light indicates a trouble code display, and counting blinks in between long pauses derives the DTC number. See Fig 2.

If the cruise control indicator light in the instrument cluster flashes, see Figure, when using the cruise control, press the "CRUISE ON-OFF" switch, see Figure, to turn the system off and then press it again to turn it on.

If any of the following conditions then occurs, there is some trouble in the cruise control system.

  • The indicator light does not come on.
  • The indicator light flashes again.
  • The indicator light goes out after it comes on.

If this is the case, have vehicle inspected.
