Power Window Master Switch Circuit

2004 Toyota Matrix XR, FWD, StandardSECTION Power Window Master Switch Circuit

  1. Disconnect the connectors from the power window master switch and inspect the connector on the wiring harness side. See CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATIONΒ . See INSPECTING POWER WINDOW MASTER SWITCH CIRCUITΒ  table. If the circuit is not as specified, replace the switch. See Figure.

    Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
    9 - Ground Constant Continuity
    1, 5 - Ground Constant B+ Voltage
    2, 4 - Ground Ignition Switch LOCK No Voltage
    2, 4 - Ground Ignition Switch ACC Or ON B+ Voltage
  2. Inspect the power window master switch circuit. See POWER WINDOW MASTER SWITCH CIRCUIT under CIRCUIT TESTS in appropriate BODY CONTROL SYSTEM article.
