Wiper Motor (Rear): Removal

2004 Toyota Matrix XR, FWD, StandardSECTION Removal

    NOTE: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
  1. Using a screwdriver, remove the back door trim board upper. See Fig 1.
  2. NOTE: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
  3. Remove the back door trim covers. See Fig 2. Insert a screwdriver between the back door panel and back door trim cover to pry the cover.
  4. Remove the back door trim board. See Fig 3. Remove the clip and back door handle. Using a screwdriver, remove the back door trim board.
  5. Remove the wiper arm cover. Place the matchmarks on the wiper arm and wiper motor. See Fig 4. Remove the nut and rear wiper arm.
  6. Remove the rear wiper motor. Remove the nut and washer on the outer side of the back door panel. Disconnect the connector. Remove the 3 bolts and rear wiper motor.
