Wiper Motor (Front): Installation
2004 Toyota Matrix XR, FWD, StandardSECTION Installation

- Install the wiper motor with the 3 bolts to the wiper link. Torque the bolts. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONSΒ table. Align the matchmarks on the wiper link and wiper motor, then install and torque the nut to the specified value. Connect the wiper link to the wiper motor.
- Install the wiper link assembly and fasten the 5 bolts. Torque the bolts. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONSΒ table. Connect the connector.
- Install the cowl top ventilator louver with the 2 clips.
- Install the hood to cowl top seal.
- Install the wiper arms. Operate the wipers once and turn the wiper switch OFF. Install the wiper arms and tighten the nuts by hand. Adjust the installation points of the wiper arms to the positions. See Fig 1.
