Front Wiper Motor: Removal
2004 Toyota Matrix XR, FWD, StandardSECTION Removal

- Turn ignition off. Remove wiper arm caps, nuts and arms. Carefully pull off hood-to-cowl top seal by pulling toward front of vehicle. Using a clip remover, remove 2 cowl top ventilator retaining clips, and remove cowl top ventilator louvre. See Figure.
- Disconnect Black 5-pin electrical harness connector from front wiper motor and route wiring harness away from work area. Remove 4 bolts from front wiper motor and link assembly, and remove front wiper motor and link assembly.
- Using a screwdriver with tape applied to tip, disconnect wiper link from wiper motor. Remove 3 bolts and front wiper motor from wiper link assembly.
