- Turn ignition off. Disconnect Black 18-pin electrical harness connector from wiper/washer switch at bottom of upper steering column bracket. Remove wiper/washer switch. Turn wiper/washer switch to INT position with time control rotated to FAST position.
- Using fused jumper wires, connect positive battery voltage to wiper/washer switch terminal No. 16 and negative battery voltage to wiper/washer switch terminal No. 2. Using a DVOM, connect positive lead to wiper/washer switch terminal No. 7 and negative lead to wiper/washer switch terminal No. 2. See STEP 1 in Fig 1. Battery voltage should be indicated on DVOM.
- With DVOM connected, momentarily connect wiper/washer switch terminals No. 16 and 17 together with a fused jumper. With fused jumper wire (positive battery voltage) still connected to terminal No. 16, move jumper wire from wiper/washer switch terminal No. 17 to wiper/washer switch terminal No. 2. See STEP 2 in Fig 1. DVOM reading should change from zero volts to battery voltage in about 3 seconds. If operation is not as specified, replace wiper/washer switch. See WIPER/WASHER SWITCHΒ under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
