Safety Warning
DIY auto repair can cause serious injury, fire, or vehicle damage. These guides are for informational purposes only. Always follow OEM torque specs, wear PPE, and consult a certified mechanic if you are unsure. You are solely responsible for your safety.
Accel Control
When the RES/ACC switch is operated to ON during cruise control driving, the electronic throttle motor is rotated so that the throttle valve opens to increase the vehicle speed, and the speed is memorized when the switch is operated to OFF, and the vehicle is controlled at that speed. Furthermore, every time the RES/ACC switch is operated to ON momentarily (approximately 0.5 seconds), the memorized vehicle speed is increased by approximately 0.93 mph (1.5 km/h). In case of the tap up operation where the difference between the memorized vehicle speed and the actual vehicle speed is more than 3.1 mph (5 km/h), the memorized speed will not be changed.
