- Disconnect A/C-heater control panel 26-pin electrical harness connector A15 and 16-pin electrical harness connector A16. Using jumper wires, connect battery positive voltage to A/C-heater control panel 26-pin connector A15 terminals No. 1 and 2. See Fig 1.
- Connect another jumper wire between battery negative voltage and A/C-heater control panel 26-pin connector A15 terminal No. 24. Connect a 1.4-watt test light between battery positive voltage and A/C-heater control panel 26-pin connector A15 terminal No. 18. See Fig 1.
- Turn rear window defogger switch on. Test light and rear window defogger indicator light should illuminate, then turn off after about 15 minutes. Replace A/C-heater control panel if operation is not as specified.
