Extension Housing: Disassembly
Using a hexagon wrench, remove straight screw plug. Using a pin punch and a hammer, drive out slotted spring pin. Pull off shift lever housing and slide out shift and select lever. Inspect reverse restrict pin by turning and pushing pin by hand. Check for smooth operation. Remove snap ring and replace rear bearing outer race using appropriate puller (if necessary). Using appropriate puller, remove oil seal. See Figure.
