Automatic Light Control Sensor Circuit

2004 Toyota Matrix XR, FWD, StandardSECTION Automatic Light Control Sensor Circuit

  1. Connector Disconnected -Β  Disconnect the connector from the sensor and inspect the connector on the wiring harness side. See CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATIONΒ . If the circuit is as specified, go to the next step. If the circuit is not as specified, inspect the circuit connected to other parts.
  2. NOTE: Make sure ignition switch is ON, light control switch OFF and the vehicle's surroundings are bright.
  3. Connector Connected -Β  Connect the wiring harness side connector to the sensor and inspect wiring harness side connector from the back side. See INSPECTING AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SENSOR CIRCUITΒ  table. If the circuit is as specified, try replacing the sensor with a new one. If the circuit is not as specified, inspect the circuit connected to other parts.
