- Clear DTCs from Engine Control Module (ECM). See CLEARING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODESΒ under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. Insert all available ignition keys in ignition lock cylinder and check whether engine will start. Recheck for DTCs.
- If any ignition key does not start the engine and DTC B2795 is reset, go to next step. If all ignition keys start the engine, there is a possibility that the unregistered ignition key has been previously inserted into ignition lock cylinder and ECM is operating normally. Check with customer to verify ignition key usage.
- Once ignition key is found that does not start the engine and causes DTC B2795 to be reset, ignition key must be registered. See REGISTRATION OF ADDITIONAL MASTER KEYΒ or REGISTRATION OF ADDITIONAL SUB-KEYΒ under PROGRAMMING. After repairs have been made, perform confirmation test. See CONFIRMATION TESTΒ under SYSTEM TESTS.
