Wheel Speed Sensor (Rear): Removal

2004 Toyota Matrix XR, FWD, StandardSECTION Removal

  1. Remove rear seat cushion and seatback.
  2. Disconnect speed sensor harness connector and pull out sensor wire harness with grommet. See Fig 1.
  3. Remove rear wheel.
  4. Remove clamp bolt holding sensor wire harness to toe control link.
  5. Remove clamp nut holding sensor wire harness to body.
  6. Remove sensor installation bolt and speed sensor from axle carrier. See Fig 2.
