NOTE:
The key registration procedure of a new master key and new sub-key on this vehicle; when a new ignition cylinder and key set, and new lock cylinder set including key cylinder are installed, is described below.
- Remove the wireless and immobilizer module from the original master key. See Fig 1.
- Making a new master key
After replacing and installing new ignition cylinder, install the removed original modules into new 2 key housing as supply parts. - Register the supplied new sub-key and/or master key by using a new master key. See ADDITIONAL SUB-KEY REGISTRATIONΒ and KEY CODE ERASUREΒ .
- It is possible to register up to 7 master key codes including the already registered key code.
- When any operation time described below is over, registration mode will be stopped forcibly.
- When the next procedure is started while the timer is working, the timer stops working, then the next timer starts.
- When replacing the ignition cylinder key set or lock cylinder set, register according to the following procedure using the original master key. However, after the registration of the additional master key, the original master key and the original sub-key are not necessary any more, and the previous registration of those key codes should be deleted.
- There are 2 ways for registration of an additional master key, one way is depressing the brake pedal and acceleration pedal and the other way is using the hand-held tester. When using the brake and accelerator pedal for additional master key registration, refer to flowchart. See Fig 2. When using the hand-held tester for additional master key registration, refer to flowchart. See Fig 3.
NOTE:
If replacing the ignition cylinder and key set, the door locks cannot be opened with the new ignition keys. Therefore, to avoid any trouble caused by empty battery of the transmitter of the new ignition key, pleas bring the original key while driving.
