Electro Chromic Outer Mirror
Disconnect the outer mirror connector. See CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATIONΒ . On vehicles with driving position memory, connect the positive (+) lead from the dry cell battery to terminal No. 5 and the negative (-) lead to terminal No. 4, then check that the mirror surface changes to dark. On vehicles without driving position memory, connect the positive (+) lead from the dry cell battery to terminal No. 2 and the negative (-) lead to terminal No. 1, then check that the mirror surface changes to dark. Check that the mirror turns to bright after disconnecting the battery. If the operation is not as specified, replace the mirror assembly. See OUTSIDE REAR VIEW MIRRORΒ under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
