NOTE: According to the DATA LIST displayed by hand-held tester, you can read the value of the switch, sensor, actuator and so on without parts removal. Reading the DATA LIST as a first step of troubleshooting is one method to shorten labor time.
  1. Connect hand-held tester to the DLC3. See Figure.
  2. Turn ignition switch to ON.
  3. According to display on tester, read the DATA LIST. See Fig 1.

When to See a Mechanic
