2004 Toyota Matrix XR, FWD, StandardSECTION Power Window Motor PTC Operation (Rear)

  1. Inspect the power window motor PTC operation.
  2. Disconnect the connector from the rear door ECU.
  3. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal No. 3 and the negative (-) lead to terminal No. 1 on the wire harness side connector, and raise the window to full closed position. See CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATIONΒ .
  4. Continue to apply voltage and check that there is a PTC operation noise within approximately 4-90 seconds.
  5. Reverse the polarity and check that the window begins to descend within approximately 60 seconds.
  6. If operation is not as specified, replace the motor. See REAR DOOR POWER WINDOW REGULATORΒ  under COMPONENT TESTS.
