Rear Sun Shade Relay

2004 Toyota Matrix XR, FWD, StandardSECTION Rear Sun Shade Relay

Disconnect the sun shade relay connector. See Fig 1. Check voltage and continuity between the connector terminals as specified. See INSPECTING REAR SUN SHADE RELAYΒ  table. If value is not as specified, check and repair wiring harness as necessary.

INSPECTING REAR SUN SHADE RELAY

Circuit (Terminal No.) Condition Specified Condition
E (5) - Body Ground Constant Continuity
IG (1) - E (5) Ignition Switch OFF - ON 0 Volt - 10-14 Volts
SW (3) - E (5) Sun Shade Switch OFF - ON No Continuity - Continuity
REV (2) - E (5) Ignition Switch On, Shift Lever Position is P-R 0 Volt - 10-14 Volts
