Cruise Control System: Functions
The cruise control has the following functions:
- Constant Speed Control
- Set
- Coast
- Accel
- Resume
- Low Speed Limit Control
- High Speed Limit Control
- Automatic Transmission Control
- Manual Cancel
- Auto Cancel
- Tap-Down Control
- Tap-Up Control
- Diagnosis
- Fail Safe
If the ECM detects a malfunction in the cruise control system, the ECU stores the malfunction data in memory, in addition to illuminating the cruise indicator light. Then, the DTCs can be accessed by connecting a hand-held tester to the DLC3 terminal or the Diagnosis Check Wire No. 2 (SST 09843-18040) to the Tc and CG terminals of the DLC3 and reading the blinking of the cruise indicator light.
