Power Seat Switch: Removal

2004 Toyota Matrix XR, FWD, StandardSECTION Removal

  1. Disconnect the battery negative terminal.
  2. Remove the left hand outer front seat track bracket cover and the left hand inner front seat track bracket cover.
  3. Remove the right hand inner rear front seat track cover and the left hand outer rear front seat track cover.
  4. Set the front vertical adjustment in the most upper position. Remove the 4 bolts. Disconnect the connectors. Remove the left front seat assembly.
  5. Remove the front seat headrest assembly.
  6. Remove the reclining power seat switch knob.
  7. Remove the slide and vertical power seat switch knob.
  8. Remove the 4 screws. See Fig 1. Disengage the claws. Remove the left hand front seat cushion shield.
  9. Remove the 2 screws. Remove the left hand front power seat switch assembly.
  10. Disconnect the connectors. Remove the front power seat switch.
