Circuit Description
This signal is used to detect that brakes have been applied. STP signal voltage is same as one supplied to stop lights. STP signal is used mainly to control fuel cut-off engine speed. Fuel cut-off engine speed is reduced slightly when vehicle is braking. Detecting condition of DTC is when stop light switch does not turn off when repeating driving 18.6 mph (30 km/h) or more and 10 times or more after depressing brake (2 trip detection logic).
