Instrument Panel Sub-ASSY Lower: Replacement

2. DISCONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL (SEE  AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS  ) 
3. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSY W/PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSY (SEE  REPLACEMENT  ) 
4. REMOVE STEERING WHEEL COVER LOWER No. 2 
5. REMOVE STEERING WHEEL COVER LOWER No. 3 
6. REMOVE HORN BUTTON ASSY (SEE  REMOVAL & INSTALLATION  ) 
7. REMOVE STEERING WHEEL ASSY (SEE  OVERHAUL  ) 
   1. SST 09950-50013 (09951-05010, 09952-05010, 09953-05020, 09954-05021)
8. REMOVE TILT LEVER BRACKET (SEE  OVERHAUL  ) 
9. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN COVER (SEE  OVERHAUL  ) 
10. REMOVE TURN SIGNAL SWITCH ASSY W/SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSY (SEE  OVERHAUL  ) 
11. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH (SEE  OVERHAUL  ) 
12. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH (SEE  OVERHAUL  ) 
13. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH (SEE  OVERHAUL  ) 
14. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH (SEE  OVERHAUL  ) 
15. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSY CENTER 
    1. Remove the 2 screws < B >.
    2. Disengage the 4 clips and then remove the instrument cluster finish panel assy center.

16. REMOVE CENTER CLUSTER CUSHION No. 1 
17. REMOVE RADIO RECEIVER ASSY W/STEREO OPENING COVER (SEE  REPLACEMENT  ) 
18. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL LOWER CENTER 
    1. Using a clip remover, remove the clip from the instrument panel finish panel lower center.
    2. Disengage the 4 claws and the 2 clips, and then remove the instrument panel finish panel lower center.

19. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR LOCK COVER 
    1. Disengage the 6 claws and then remove the glove compartment door lock cover.

20. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR LOCK ASSY 
    1. Remove the 4 screws < B > and then the glove compartment door lock assy.

21. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL LOWER 
    1. Disengage the 4 claws and then remove the instrument panel finish panel lower.

22. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSY No. 1 
    1. Disengage the 2 claws and then remove the instrument panel under cover sub-assy No. 1.

23. REMOVE POWER STEERING ECU ASSY (SEE  OVERHAUL  ) 
24. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER ASSY LWR (SEE  OVERHAUL  ) 
25. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSY LOWER 
    1. Using a clip remover, remove the 8 clips from the duct and the instrument panel sub-assy lower.
    2. Remove the 4 bolts < F >, and the 2 bolts < G >.
    3. Remove the screw < B >, and the screw < H >.
    4. Disconnect all connectors, and disengage all clamps. Make sure the wire harness is not caught on anything, and then remove the instrument panel sub-assy lower.

26. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT PLATE 
    1. Remove the 2 screws < B >.
    2. Disengage the 2 claws and then remove the glove compartment plate.
27. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL CUSHION LOWER No. 1 
28. INSTALL SHIFT LEVER ASSY LWR (SEE  OVERHAUL  ) 
29. INSTALL POWER STEERING ECU ASSY (SEE  OVERHAUL  ) 
30. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSY W/PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSY (SEE  REPLACEMENT  ) 
31. INSTALL TILT LEVER BRACKET (SEE  OVERHAUL  ) 
32. ADJUST SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSY (SEE  CENTERING SPIRAL CABLE  ) 
33. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL ASSY (SEE  OVERHAUL  ) 
34. INSTALL HORN BUTTON ASSY (SEE  REMOVAL & INSTALLATION  ) 
35. CONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL (SEE  REPLACEMENT  ) 
36. INSPECT HORN BUTTON ASSY (SEE  DIAGNOSTICS  ) 
37. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT (SEE  DIAGNOSTICS  ) 
38. PERFORM INITIALIZATION (SEE  INITIALIZATION  ) 
39. PERFORM CALIBRATION OF TORQUE SENSOR ZERO POINT (SEE  CALIBRATION  )
