License Plate Lamp: Replacement

2004 Toyota Matrix XR, FWD, StandardSECTION Replacement

HINT:

Parts are shown for the LH side only. The LH and RH side are symmetrical.

  1. REMOVE BACK DOOR TRIM BOARD ASSY (SEE  OVERHAUL  ) 
  2. REMOVE BACK DOOR GARNISH SUB-ASSY OUTSIDE 
  3. REMOVE LICENSE PLATE LAMP LENS 
    1. Push the license plate lamp assy in the direction indicated by the arrow in Fig 1 and remove it.

    2. Disconnect the license plate lamp socket & wire and bulb. Remove the license plate lamp lens.
