Center Stop Lamp: Replacement
2004 Toyota Matrix XR, FWD, StandardSECTION Replacement

- REMOVE BACK DOOR TRIM BOARD ASSY (SEE OVERHAUL )
- REMOVE BACK DOOR GARNISH SUB-ASSY OUTSIDE
- REMOVE CENTER STOP LAMP ASSY
- Disconnect the connector.
- Tie a string around the center stop lamp assy cord.
- Remove the 2 screws and the center stop lamp assy.
NOTE: The string will be used when installing, so leave the string as it is inside the back door. - INSTALL CENTER STOP LAMP ASSY
- Tie the string hanging inside the back door around the new center stop lamp assy.
- Using the string, pass the cord into the back door.
- Install the center stop lamp assy with 2 screws.
- Connect the connector.
