- DISCONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL (SEE BATTERY )
- REMOVE STEERING WHEEL COVER LOWER NO.2
- REMOVE STEERING WHEEL COVER LOWER NO.3
- REMOVE HORN BUTTON ASSY (SEE AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS )
- REMOVE STEERING WHEEL ASSY (SEE
OVERHAUL
)
- SST 09950-50013 (09951-05010, 09952-05010, 09953-05020, 09954-05021)
- REMOVE TILT LEVER BRACKET OVERHAUL
- REMOVE STEERING COLUMN COVER (SEE OVERHAUL )
- REMOVE SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSY (SEE SPIRAL CABLE )
- REMOVE STEERING SENSOR
- Unclamp the 6 claws and remove the steering sensor from the spiral cable.
- INSTALL STEERING SENSOR
- Aligning the 2 locating pins as shown in Fig 1 , engage the 6 claws and install the steering sensor to the spiral cable.
- INSPECT SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSY (SEE SPIRAL CABLE )
- PLACE FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD
- INSTALL SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSY (SEE SPIRAL CABLE )
- CENTER SPIRAL CABLE (SEE SPIRAL CABLE )
- INSTALL STEERING COLUMN COVER (SEE OVERHAUL )
- INSTALL TILT LEVER BRACKET (SEE OVERHAUL )
- INSTALL STEERING WHEEL ASSY (SEE OVERHAUL )
- INSTALL HORN BUTTON ASSY ( AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS )
- INSPECT HORN BUTTON ASSY (SEE AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS )
- CONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL
- PERFORM INITIALIZATION (SEE INITIALIZATION )
- INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT (SEE AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS )
