Brake Pedal Stroke Sensor ASSY: Replacement

2004 Toyota Matrix XR, FWD, StandardSECTION Replacement

  1. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSY NO.1 (SEE  INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSY LOWER  ) 
  2. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSY LOWER (SEE  INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSY LOWER  ) 
  3. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL STROKE SENSOR ASSY 
    1. Disconnect the connector of the brake pedal stroke sensor.
    2. Remove the 2 bolts and brake pedal stroke sensor.

  4. INSTALL BRAKE PEDAL STROKE SENSOR ASSY 
    1. New brake pedal stroke sensor.
      1. Install the brake pedal stroke sensor to the brake pedal support with the 2 bolts.
        1. Torque:  9.3 N.m (95 kgf.cm, 82 in..lbf)
