Magnetic Switch Test

2004 Toyota Matrix XR, FWD, StandardSECTION Magnetic Switch Test
  1. Push in the plunger and check that it returns quickly to its original position. See Fig 1. If Performance is not as specified, magnetic switch.
  2. Using an ohmmeter, check that there is continuity between terminals 50 and "C" with a resistance of less than one ohm. See Fig 1. If there is no continuity, magnetic switch.
  3. Using an ohmmeter, check. that there is continuity between terminal 50 and the switch body of less than 2 ohms. See Fig 1. If there is no continuity; magnetic switch.
