  1. Check light control switch using LEXUS hand-held tester. 

    PREPARATION: 

    Connect the LEXUS hand-held tester to the DLC3.

    CHECK: 

    Check the light control switch using DATA LIST.

    OK: 

    Light control switch: 

    LIGHT CONTROL SWITCH SPECIFICATION

    Switch name (Tester display) No pressing Pressing
    Light control switch TAIL (TAIL LIGHT SW) OFF ON
    Light control switch HEAD (HEAD LIGHT SW) OFF ON
    Light control switch AUTO (LIGHT AUTO SW) OFF ON

    Fog light switch: 

    FOG LIGHT SWITCH

    Switch name (Tester display) No pressing Pressing
    Front fog light switch (F FOG LIGHT SW) OFF ON
    Rear fog light switch (R FOG LIGHT SW) OFF ON

    Headlight dimmer switch: 

    HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH

    Switch name (Tester display) No pressing Pressing
    Light control switch Flash (PASSING SW) OFF ON
    Light control switch HI (DIMMER HI SW) OFF ON

    Turn signal and hazard warning switch: 

    TURN SIGNAL AND HAZARD WARNING SWITCH SPECIFICATION

    Switch name (Tester display) No pressing Pressing
    Turn signal switch Left (TURN LEFT SW) OFF ON
    Turn signal switch Right (TURN RIGHT SW) OFF ON
    1. OK : Proceed to next circuit inspection shown on problem symptom table (See  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  ). 
    2. NG : Replace combination switch (See  REMOVAL  ).
