Diagnostic Trouble Code Chart
- DTC CHECK
If a malfunction code is displayed during the DTC check, check the suspected area listed for that code in Fig 1 .
- WARNING LIGHT INDICATOR
HINT:
The warning light indicator of headlight beam level control system comes on as following patterns.
- Blink continuously at an interval of 1 sec.:
When a new ECU is installed (There is no initial data, so it is necessary to initialize).
- Blink twice at an interval of 1 sec.:
When initializing is done correctly.
- Comes on for 3 sec. (IG OFF -->ON):
When it is normal.
- Keep coming on more than 3 sec. after turning IG switch to ON position:
When initializing ECU fails (Initializing will be required again).
- Comes on when more than 10 sec. elapses after IG switch is turned to ON position from OFF:
When system has malfunction. (Refer to "FAIL-SAFE FUNCTION" in PRE-CHECK )
- Blink continuously at an interval of 1 sec.:

When to See a Mechanic
Stop DIY work and contact a certified mechanic immediately if any of the following apply:
- • You smell fuel, burning insulation, or see smoke.
- • Brakes feel soft, pull hard to one side, or make grinding noises.
- • The engine overheats, stalls repeatedly, or misfires under load.
- • You are missing required tools, torque specs, or safe lifting equipment.
- • You are not confident in the next step or safety outcome.
