Compressor And Magnetic Clutch: Installation
- Install compressor
:
- Install the compressor with 4 bolts.
Torque: 25 N.m (250 kgf.cm, 18 ft.lbf) .
- Connect the connector.
- Install the compressor with 4 bolts.
- Connect discharge and suction hoses from compressor:
- Lubricate 2 new "O" rings with compressor oil and install them to the both hoses.
- Connect the both hoses and install the 2 bolts.
Torque: 10 N.m (100 kgf.cm, 7 ft.lbf) .
CAUTION: Hoses should be connected immediately after the caps have been removed.Lubricate 2 new "O" ring with compressor oil and install them to the tube.
- Install engine under cover RH . See Figure.
- Install and check drive belt . See DRIVE BELT INSTALLATION and ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION OF DRIVE BELT .
- Connect negative (-) terminal cable to battery .
- Evacuate air from refrigeration system and charge with refrigerant
.
Specified amount: 500 7 plus or minus; 50 g (17.64 7 plus or minus; 1.76 oz.)
- Using a gas leak detector, check for leakage of refrigerant.
If there is leakage, check the tightening torque at the joints.
- Inspect A/C operation .
