Daytime Running Light Relays
2004 Toyota Celica GT, StandardSECTION Daytime Running Light Relays

- Turn ignition off. Remove Daytime Running Light (DRL) relay No. 2, 3 or 4. All DRL relays are in engine compartment relay block No. 2 located in front of coolant reservoir and beside windshield washer fluid tank at right front corner of engine compartment. See Fig 1.
- DRL relays No. 2 and 4 have the same configuration and are tested the same. See Fig 2. Using ohmmeter, check that no continuity exists between terminals No. 1 and 2 of DRL relay. Check that continuity exists between terminals No. 3 and 4 of DRL relay. Using jumper wires, apply battery voltage and ground to terminals No. 3 and 4 of DRL relay. Check that continuity now exists between terminals No. 1 and 2 on DRL relay. Replace DRL relay if continuity is not as specified.
- Test DRL relay No. 3 by using ohmmeter to ensure continuity exists between terminals No. 1 and 2, and No. 3 and 4 of DRL relay No. 3. Check that no continuity exists between terminals No. 3 and 5 of DRL relay. Using jumper wires, apply battery voltage and ground to terminals No. 1 and 2 of DRL relay. Check that no continuity now exists between terminals No. 3 and 4, and that continuity now exists between terminals No. 3 and 5. on DRL No. 3 relay. See Fig 2. Replace DRL relay if continuity is not as specified.
