Keyless Entry: Service Precautions

HINT: A switch described in this text indicates the switch for sending, which is built-in the door control transmitter.

NOTICES WHEN CHECKING

A. The wireless door lock remote control operates only when the following 4 conditions are satisfied:
1. All the doors are closed. However, unlocking operation is possible even when any of the doors is opened.
2. The key plate is not inserted in the key cylinder. However, unlocking operation is possible.
3. Power door lock operates normally.
4. Receiving function stop is not operated by a security function.

B. Wireless Door Lock Remote Control Operational Area:
1. Operational area differs depending on the operator and the way to hold it.
2. There may be a place where the operational area will be narrowed down due to the body configuration and the influence of the surrounding environment, or the remote control will not operate partially.
3. Because of using faint electric wave, in case that there is a strong electric wave or noise in a frequency used area, there is a case where the operational area is narrowed down or the remote control is not operated.
4. When the battery is consumed, the operational area is narrowed down or the remote control is not operated.

HINT: If leaving the door control transmitter on the place that is exposed to a direct sun light such as on the instrument panel, this may cause the battery wear or a trouble.
