OVERHAUL

1. REMOVE BACK WINDOW PANEL TRIM UPPER
a. Using a screwdriver, remove the back window panel trim upper.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

2. REMOVE BACK DOOR TRIM COVER RH
a. Using a screwdriver, remove the back door trim cover.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
3. REMOVE BACK DOOR TRIM COVER LH

4. REMOVE BACK DOOR TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the assist strap cover.
b. Remove the bolt and assist strap.
c. Using a screwdriver, remove the back door trim panel.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
5. REMOVE REAR SPOILER (W/ REAR SPOILER)
6. REMOVE BACK DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY
a. Disconnect the control cable from the outside handle.
b. Disconnect the link from the key cylinder.
c. Remove the 3 bolts and the back door lock control assembly.
7. REMOVE BACK DOOR HANDLE ASSEMBLY OUTSIDE
a. Remove the 2 nuts and back door outside handle.
8. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR GARNISH SUB-ASSEMBLY OUTSIDE
9. INSTALL BACK DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY
Torque: 12.5 N.m (128 kgf.cm, 9 ft.lbf)

a. Using a screwdriver, remove the back window panel trim upper.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
2. REMOVE BACK DOOR TRIM COVER RH
a. Using a screwdriver, remove the back door trim cover.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
3. REMOVE BACK DOOR TRIM COVER LH
4. REMOVE BACK DOOR TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the assist strap cover.
b. Remove the bolt and assist strap.
c. Using a screwdriver, remove the back door trim panel.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
5. REMOVE REAR SPOILER (W/ REAR SPOILER)
6. REMOVE BACK DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY
a. Disconnect the control cable from the outside handle.
b. Disconnect the link from the key cylinder.
c. Remove the 3 bolts and the back door lock control assembly.
7. REMOVE BACK DOOR HANDLE ASSEMBLY OUTSIDE
a. Remove the 2 nuts and back door outside handle.
8. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR GARNISH SUB-ASSEMBLY OUTSIDE
9. INSTALL BACK DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY
Torque: 12.5 N.m (128 kgf.cm, 9 ft.lbf)
