Introduction
The Customize feature for the Toyota Diagnostic Tester allows Toyota Dealers to customize many of the electrical functions on 2001 model year Sequoia and Highlander vehicles to match individual customer desires. This bulletin will provide you with a comprehensive list of available features for customization.
NOTE:
These functions require version 8.0a, or later, software. Diagnostic Tester software can be updated using TIS. Click the link on the TIS home page to download.
Applicable Vehicles
^ 2001 model year Highlander & Sequoia vehicles.

Required Tools & Material
NOTE:
Additional Diagnostic Tester Kits or Program Cards may be ordered by calling OTC at 1-800-933-8335.
Service Procedure
In cases where dealers maintain a vehicle service history database, a detailed description, including the 'Item Selected", the old setting and the new setting should be entered into the vehicle's service history as a note.

Operation Procedure
The following steps show the user how to access the "FUNCTION SELECT" screen for customizing.
1. Insert the key into the ignition key cylinder and turn to the ON position.
2. Connect the Toyota Diagnostic Tester to DLC3 and press the "ON" key.




3. Using the Diagnostic Tester, follow the screen flow to access the customize function select menu.
