Skid Control ECU ASSY
REPLACEMENT
1. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSY LOWER [55045/98-102]
2. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PNL INSERT SUB-ASSY LWR LH [55406C/98-102]
3. REMOVE SKID CONTROL BUZZER ASSY (w/ VSC) [86652A/98-170]
a. Disconnect the skid control buzzer connector.
b. Remove the skid control buzzer.

4. REMOVE SKID CONTROL ECU ASSY [89540/98-1701
a. Remove the 2 nuts and disconnect the skid control ECU from the body.
b. Disconnect the skid control ECU connectors and remove the skid control ECU assembly

5. INSTALL SKID CONTROL ECU ASSY [89540/98-170]
a. Connect the skid control ECU connectors.
b. Install the skid control ECU to the body with the 2 nuts.
Torque: 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 inch lbs.)
6. INSTALL SKID CONTROL BUZZER ASSY(w/ VSC) [86652A/98-170]
a. Install the skid control buzzer.
b. Connect the skid control buzzer connector.
7. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PNL INSERT SUB-ASSY LWR LH [55406C/98-102]
8. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSY LOWER [55045/98-102]
9. PERFORM YAWRATE SENSOR ZERO POINT (w/ VSC).
10. PERFORM DECELERATION SENSOR ZERO POINT CALIBRATION (w/ VSC)
11. CHECK VSC SENSOR SIGNAL (w/ VSC)
REPLACEMENT
1. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSY LOWER [55045/98-102]
2. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PNL INSERT SUB-ASSY LWR LH [55406C/98-102]
3. REMOVE SKID CONTROL BUZZER ASSY (w/ VSC) [86652A/98-170]
a. Disconnect the skid control buzzer connector.
b. Remove the skid control buzzer.
4. REMOVE SKID CONTROL ECU ASSY [89540/98-1701
a. Remove the 2 nuts and disconnect the skid control ECU from the body.
b. Disconnect the skid control ECU connectors and remove the skid control ECU assembly
5. INSTALL SKID CONTROL ECU ASSY [89540/98-170]
a. Connect the skid control ECU connectors.
b. Install the skid control ECU to the body with the 2 nuts.
Torque: 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 inch lbs.)
6. INSTALL SKID CONTROL BUZZER ASSY(w/ VSC) [86652A/98-170]
a. Install the skid control buzzer.
b. Connect the skid control buzzer connector.
7. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PNL INSERT SUB-ASSY LWR LH [55406C/98-102]
8. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSY LOWER [55045/98-102]
9. PERFORM YAWRATE SENSOR ZERO POINT (w/ VSC).
10. PERFORM DECELERATION SENSOR ZERO POINT CALIBRATION (w/ VSC)
11. CHECK VSC SENSOR SIGNAL (w/ VSC)
