REMOVAL
1. REMOVE STEERING WHEEL
2. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN COVERS
3. REMOVE COMBINATION SWITCH
4. REMOVE LOWER LH FINISH PANEL

a. Remove the 2 screws and hood lock release lever.
b. Remove the fuse box opening cover.
c. Remove the 4 bolts, screw and lower LH finish panel.
5. w/ Rear console box:
REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX
a. Remove the 2 bolts, 2 screws and rear console box.
b. Remove the rear console box cover.
6. REMOVE FRONT CONSOLE BOX
7. REMOVE UPPER CONSOLE BOX MOUNTING BRACKET
Remove the 2 screws and upper console box mounting bracket.
8. REMOVE LOWER CENTER COVER
Remove the 2 clips and lower center cover.
9. REMOVE N0. 2 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT
Remove the screw and No. 2 heater to register duct.
10. REMOVE CENTER CLUSTER FINISH PANEL
a. Remove the heater control knobs.
b. Using a screwdriver, remove the heater control panel.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

c. Remove the 2 screws.
d. Using a screwdriver, remove the center cluster finish panel.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
e. Disconnect the cutoff switch connectors and other connectors.
NOTE: When handling the switch connector, take care not to damage the cutoff wire harness.
f. Remove the cigar lighter hole bezel from the center cluster finish panel.
g. Remove the front ash receptacle box and retainer from the center cluster finish panel.

11. REMOVE STARTER SWITCH BEZEL
Using a screwdriver, remove the starter switch bezel.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
12. REMOVE CLUSTER FINISH PANEL

a. Remove the 3 screws.
b. Using a screwdriver, remove the cluster finish panel.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
13. REMOVE RADIO AND STEREO OPENING COVER
14. REMOVE COMBINATION METER
15. REMOVE N0. 1 REGISTER
Remove the 2 screws and No. 1 register.
16. REMOVE N0. 1 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT
Remove the screw and No. 1 heater to register duct.
17. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN

18. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR
Remove the 2 screws and glove compartment door.
19. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR REINFORCEMENT
Remove the 3 screws and glove compartment door reinforcement.
20. REMOVE N0.4 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT
21. DISCONNECT AIRBAG CONNECTOR

a. Remove the No. 1 under cover.
NOTE: When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
b. Pull up and disconnect the airbag connector.
22. REMOVE LOWER N0. 2 FINISH PANEL
Remove the 3 screws and lower No. 2 finish panel.
23. REMOVE HEATER CONTROL INSTALLATION SCREWS
24. REMOVE LOWER CENTER FINISH PANEL

25. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL
Remove the 2 bolts, 2 nuts and instrument panel.
Torque:
Bolt: 20 N.m (205 kgf.cm, 15 ft.lbf)
26. REMOVE N0. 1 BRACE
Remove the 3 bolts and No. 1 brace.
27. REMOVE N0. 2 BRACE
Remove the 2 bolts and No. 2 brace.
28. REMOVE CENTER HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT
Remove the screw and center heater to register duct.
29. REMOVE DEFROSTER NOZZLE
30. REMOVE REINFORCEMENT
Remove the 3 bolts, 4 nuts and reinforcement.
31. REMOVE SIDE BRACKET
Remove the bolt and side bracket.
INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
1. REMOVE STEERING WHEEL
2. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN COVERS
3. REMOVE COMBINATION SWITCH
4. REMOVE LOWER LH FINISH PANEL
a. Remove the 2 screws and hood lock release lever.
b. Remove the fuse box opening cover.
c. Remove the 4 bolts, screw and lower LH finish panel.
5. w/ Rear console box:
REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX
a. Remove the 2 bolts, 2 screws and rear console box.
b. Remove the rear console box cover.
6. REMOVE FRONT CONSOLE BOX
7. REMOVE UPPER CONSOLE BOX MOUNTING BRACKET
Remove the 2 screws and upper console box mounting bracket.
8. REMOVE LOWER CENTER COVER
Remove the 2 clips and lower center cover.
9. REMOVE N0. 2 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT
Remove the screw and No. 2 heater to register duct.
10. REMOVE CENTER CLUSTER FINISH PANEL
a. Remove the heater control knobs.
b. Using a screwdriver, remove the heater control panel.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
c. Remove the 2 screws.
d. Using a screwdriver, remove the center cluster finish panel.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
e. Disconnect the cutoff switch connectors and other connectors.
NOTE: When handling the switch connector, take care not to damage the cutoff wire harness.
f. Remove the cigar lighter hole bezel from the center cluster finish panel.
g. Remove the front ash receptacle box and retainer from the center cluster finish panel.
11. REMOVE STARTER SWITCH BEZEL
Using a screwdriver, remove the starter switch bezel.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
12. REMOVE CLUSTER FINISH PANEL
a. Remove the 3 screws.
b. Using a screwdriver, remove the cluster finish panel.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
13. REMOVE RADIO AND STEREO OPENING COVER
14. REMOVE COMBINATION METER
15. REMOVE N0. 1 REGISTER
Remove the 2 screws and No. 1 register.
16. REMOVE N0. 1 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT
Remove the screw and No. 1 heater to register duct.
17. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN
18. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR
Remove the 2 screws and glove compartment door.
19. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR REINFORCEMENT
Remove the 3 screws and glove compartment door reinforcement.
20. REMOVE N0.4 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT
21. DISCONNECT AIRBAG CONNECTOR
a. Remove the No. 1 under cover.
NOTE: When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
b. Pull up and disconnect the airbag connector.
22. REMOVE LOWER N0. 2 FINISH PANEL
Remove the 3 screws and lower No. 2 finish panel.
23. REMOVE HEATER CONTROL INSTALLATION SCREWS
24. REMOVE LOWER CENTER FINISH PANEL
25. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL
Remove the 2 bolts, 2 nuts and instrument panel.
Torque:
Bolt: 20 N.m (205 kgf.cm, 15 ft.lbf)
26. REMOVE N0. 1 BRACE
Remove the 3 bolts and No. 1 brace.
27. REMOVE N0. 2 BRACE
Remove the 2 bolts and No. 2 brace.
28. REMOVE CENTER HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT
Remove the screw and center heater to register duct.
29. REMOVE DEFROSTER NOZZLE
30. REMOVE REINFORCEMENT
Remove the 3 bolts, 4 nuts and reinforcement.
31. REMOVE SIDE BRACKET
Remove the bolt and side bracket.
INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
