For engine coolant temperature sensor location, see ENGINE SENSORS & SWITCHES in appropriate SYSTEM & COMPONENT TESTING article. Using ohmmeter, check resistance between electrical terminals on engine coolant temperature sensor. Ensure resistance is within specification in relation to specified temperature. See Fig 1.
