1999 Toyota Camry XLE, 2.2 GSECTION Diagnosis & Repair
  1. If any DTCs other than DTC P0106 are displayed, diagnose and repair those DTCs first. If only DTC P0106 is displayed, go to next step.
  2. Check MAP sensor. See ENGINE SENSORS & SWITCHES in SYSTEM & COMPONENT TESTING - 4-CYLINDER article. If problem exists, replace MAP sensor. If problem does not exist, check vacuum hose to MAP sensor. Replace vacuum hose as necessary and retest.
