Using Scan Tool
1999 Toyota Camry XLE, 2.2 GSECTION Using Scan Tool
- Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC) No. 3. See Figure. Insert registered master key in ignition lock cylinder.
- Within 2 minutes of inserting registered master key in ignition lock cylinder, request key code deletion from scan tool. Ensure SECURITY indicator light flashes. SECURITY indicator light is located near center of tachometer on the instrument panel.
- Within 10 seconds of requesting key code deletion on scan tool, remove master key from ignition lock cylinder. Ensure SECURITY indicator light flashes. Procedure is now complete and transponder key code should now be erased. If master key cannot be removed from ignition lock cylinder, transponder key code erasure is cancelled and SECURITY indicator light will turn off.
