Transponder Key Coil

1999 Toyota Camry XLE, 2.2 GSECTION Transponder Key Coil

Disconnect electrical connector for transponder key coil. Transponder key coil is located on ignition lock cylinder. See Figure. Using ohmmeter, check that continuity exists between electrical terminals on transponder key coil. See Fig 1. Replace transponder key coil if continuity does not exist.
