1998 Toyota Tacoma SR5, 2.7 MSECTION Tacoma, T100 & 4Runner
  1. Ensure ignition is off. Disconnect electrical connector from TP sensor on throttle body. Note terminal identification on TP sensor. See Figure. Apply vacuum to throttle opener.
  2. Using ohmmeter, check resistance between specified terminals in relation to throttle position. See TP SENSOR RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONS (TACOMA - 2.4L & 2.7L)Β  or TP SENSOR RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONS (T100 & 4RUNNER - 2.7L)Β  table. Replace components as necessary if resistance is not within specification.
