- Ensure ignition is off. Disconnect electrical connector from Throttle Position (TP) sensor on throttle body. Note terminal identification on TP sensor. See Figure-Figure . Disconnect vacuum nose and apply vacuum to throttle opener.
- Using ohmmeter, check resistance between specified terminals in relation to throttle position. See TP SENSOR RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONS (CAMRY & CELICA 2.2L)Β table. Replace components as necessary if resistance is not within specification.
